Stories about Indian migrants make interesting reading and how many of them have we had in the recent times from Indian authors! Tales of men and women going west and facing trials of myriad sorts. But here is a story about people who travel to a wholly different world to make a living. Of Indians who go to the Arabian countries to earn the buck that would catapult them into the league of “well heeled” and “well lived” people. These are people who rarely get written about. Their sweat and toil barely get noticed. And their tales hardly ever reaches out. My debut novel, Sandstorms, Summer Rains, is an oriental tale, a compelling commentary on life’s vagaries as experienced by the two protagonists and their families.
Well done Asha. Just finished reading your Novel ‘SAND STORMS SUMMER RAINS’ and am very much impressed by the whole writing. It does not look like a maiden novel of a first time writer. CONGRATULATIONS !! Any reader will get involved in the novel at some point or other as many of the situations narrated are from real life. The flow of the Novel is so smooth and is very much absorbing. Any one can easily understand the simple language. I personally got immersed in the novel and was eager to continue the reading everyday and finished the reading. Once again my ‘Hearty Congrats’.
